What we built in
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Each page has one main heading, clear landmarks for the header, menu, main area and footer, and a skip link at the top. The menu opens with a tap, a click or the keyboard, and Escape closes it. Every form field has a visible label. Text and background colors pass AA contrast. Text can be enlarged to 200% without breaking pages. Photos carry written descriptions. Nothing flashes, and motion is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion. We check with a keyboard, a screen reader, phones and automated tools whenever the site is rebuilt.
Where we fall short
Roof photos show textures, like hail bruises or curled shingles, that are hard to put fully into words. The descriptions cover what matters on each page. If you need more, call and we'll describe the picture. The chat window comes from an outside provider; if it gives you trouble, the phone and the form do everything the chat does.
